When we arrived to The Watson House on Saturday, it was the normal hustle and bustle of a wedding day. Hair spray in the air, makeup being done, tables being set, boutonnieres being pinned and flowers being arranged. The most noticeable thing to us though, was that no one was in the least bit stressed. Not the bride, not the groom, not any of the wedding professionals and not the swans (although one did try to eat me…I kept my eye on him for the rest of the day). It was fantastic. The entire day went on like this and everything from the ceremony through the reception was gorgeous and perfect!
After Jennifer had an emotional first look with her dad on the back porch, it was time for the ceremony! Jennifer and Eric’s wedding ceremony overlooked a marshy area of the Bogue Sound. The vintage church pews and the arbor decked out in flowers added even more to the already beautiful ceremony location. Jennifer and Eric included a tree planting ceremony, using dirt from each of their childhood homes to pot the tree which will then be planted at their new home.
The reception was held under cafe lights and the open night sky with dancing under the covered patio with a fire in the fireplace to keep everyone warm!
Jennifer and Eric – we wish you both all the best. We loved being part of your day!
