Ashton and Matthew got married last Saturday at Rock Springs Center in Greenville, NC! The weather was absolutely perfect, which was a welcome change from the weekend prior when Hurricane Florence hit. The hurricane completely devastated parts of North and South Carolina. We were lucky in Greenville (and surrounding areas) and had very little damage. Unfortunately, Ashton and Matthew as well as Ashton’s parents and many of their guests, live in or near Wilmington, NC where the hurricane was the strongest. The week prior to the wedding was incredibly stressful for them as they weren’t able to be at home getting final wedding details taken care of. Somehow, everyone was incredibly calm and not stressed at all by the day of the wedding! There was also chatter throughout the week and day of the wedding that many of their approximately 300 guests would not be able to attend. When I walked out to get ready for the ceremony and every single chair was full and there were people standing in the back I couldn’t believe it. Many of these people had traveled hours out of their way because of road closures just to get to Greenville to support Ashton and Matthew! 

The ceremony was inside, and designed beautifully by Your Perfect Day. We absolutely loved the greenery paired with white draping and the flower covered cross that made up the alter space. On the other side of the venue was the reception which was equally as beautiful with gold Chiavari chairs and tall floral center pieces. All of the guests and the bridal party had such a great day celebrating Ashton and Matthew and the party continued late into the night!
