Now that they are finally back to Norway and settling in, we are excited to share Justine & Glenn’s American/ Norwegian wedding! The entire day was filled with fun, laughter and many new traditions for us! Justine chose the perfect summertime color palette of teals, grays and white to compliment her love of the beach and sea glass. She also included a few Norwegian touches through out the night in honor of Glenn’s family and friends that traveled over to celebrate their day. This wedding was extremely special to us, as we have known Justine for over 9 years! If you follow our blog regularly, you probably read all about our past together in their engagement session blog which can be found here. If you haven’t, you should. 🙂 While there were many, many memorable moments (including me getting to be a bridesmaid again haha) our favorite would have to be from the reception. Justine had been stressing to all of us for awhile now that they would be doing a special champagne cutting (yes, cutting) using a saber sword that they would be bringing from Norway. After countless snapchat videos from Norway of them practicing and successfully cutting the champagne we couldn’t wait for the time to come during the reception that they would finally be able to show off their new skill! However, the champagne had other plans. As you will see scrolling the images below, during the first attempt the cork flew across the room unexpectedly which was a total shock to everyone (as if opening champagne isn’t scary enough). After the cake cutting, Justine and Glenn made another attempt. Once again, the cork went flying unexpectedly. Despite all of the practice and unexpected excitement, they didn’t let it get them down, instead Glenn decided to use it to kick off the party with a champagne shower! Now, that’s looking on the bright side of things!
Congrats Justine and Glenn! We love you guys and wish you all the happiness in the world! From photographers to bridesmaid, we were all so thrilled to be apart of your day in more ways than one!
