We are always so excited when we end up with clients that are up for anything, seriously it makes our day! Kristen and Carlton’s engagement session began just as any normal downtown Wilmington engagement session with us would, chatting, laughing and exploring the historic district looking for any little unique alley way  to photograph in. After a outfit change, we all decided to head toward the water to catch the sunset. All was normal until Michele and I spotted this random little field of poppies, yes gorgeous bright red poppies. First off, you should know that I am obsessed with Wizard of Oz and this field was everything just like you see off the movie- it was literally perfect. After walking for what seemed like miles into the middle of the field we were able to capture some of our most favorite images from this session! We could never thank these two enough for not only trusting us but for walking through what seemed like endless bugs and for getting all itchy to get these images! 🙂
