Newton Grove, NC Wedding Photographer | Rachel + Bobby Married

Rachel and Bobby held their wedding on Rachel’s family farm in Newton Grove, North Carolina. As difficult as it can be to throw a large elegant ceremony and reception in the middle of a field, if anyone could do it, it was Rachel. With the help of her family, they pulled off a stunning wedding and one heck of a party!

The girls got ready at the Home Place, a historic home that has been passed down through the family from generation to generation. At several points during the day I walked up the stairs to find all of the girls dancing and singing (and rapping) at the top of their lungs. Rachel’s mom and sister helped her get into her dress and while her mom button the dress with a big smile on her face, Rachel’s sister, Georgia, held her hand while they both laughed and cried.

The guys all spent the morning together doing guy things and then got ready at Rachel’s parent’s house down the road. Aside from a few emotional moments when Bobby was reading his letter from Rachel, the guys were full of laughter and jokes.

The ceremony was beautifully decorated with a huge arbor with greenery and white florals. Rachel and her dad arrived in an old red truck and walked down the aisle to a super excited Bobby. We loved that the bridal party set off confetti cannons as soon as the preacher pronounced them husband and wife and they kissed.

The reception was nothing short of amazing and the dance floor was full the entire time. Rachel and Bobby showed off their dancing and singing skills on stage with the band and there was even a brief stand up comedy show by Bobby.
