Julia and Michael had a beautiful backyard wedding last weekend outside of Greenville! From their sweet first look to fun bridal party it was a great day! The weather cooperated and we even got to spend a few minutes with their pup, Harry Machiavelli, who you may remember from their engagement session in Boone when we all made friends with a duck. (I can’t make this stuff up.) 

During their ceremony Julia and Michael watered a baby tree that they picked specifically because the trunk intertwines with it self as it grows. We love new and different takes on “unity” ceremonies and this was a great one! They had written their own vows which included Michaels love of playing drums. The reception kicked off with Spare Change after dinner and no one ever looked back. It was such a great time for everyone. Julia teamed up with Spare Change and surprised Michael with a chance to play the drums with the band. Michael jumped up on stage, grabbed the drum sticks and absolutely killed it with out ever even practicing. Between watching how happy he was behind that drum set and watching how happy Julia was seeing him playing, it was one of the most memorable things of the entire day and definitely had a few people teary eyed. The evening ended with an awesome fireworks display sending the couple off.
