Lauren and Shaun are both Pirate Alum, which made it fitting that they traveled all the way from Delaware, just to get married in Greenville. They met while attending East Carolina University, where Shaun was a captain on the ECU football team. After graduating, they moved back to Lauren’s home state of Delaware. They love coming back to North Carolina to visit Shaun’s family as well as coming to Greenville.

I was so excited about their wedding not being in a hurricane that when Lauren’s dad called me the Tuesday before the wedding checking to make sure I would still be able to make the wedding I realized I hadn’t even considered the flooding that was coming our way affecting their wedding vendors, and the river was set to peak on the day of their wedding. I kept an eye on the area their church was in and come Friday, the water was up to the road in front of the church, but I was sure that everyone could get there just fine, and they did! It was a sweet ceremony and then everyone returned to the Hilton to celebrate at their reception. And, celebrate they did! They danced ALL  NIGHT!

Lauren and Shaun are two of the sweetest and most genuine people I’ve met and together they are so perfect. I don’t think the smile ever left Lauren’s face the day of the wedding.
