Today is wedding day for Kaitlyn and Turner! This week as we were prepping for their wedding it seemed like it had been YEARS since we did their engagement session. Turns out, it has been almost TWO years. We shot their session pre Covid, a year before their original wedding date! So much has happened since then, including having to move their wedding to today!

Beaufort Hotel Wedding Photographer | Catherine + William Married

Catherine and William got married a few weekends ago at Beaufort Hotel in Beaufort, NC! They were surrounded by their family and close friends and if we haven’t said it enough we are loving these smaller, more intimate weddings. Catherine had her 3 daughters as bridesmaids and William had his cousin as his best man!

Catherine and William had a private first look prior to the ceremony among the Live Oak trees followed by a beautiful ceremony on the veranda overlooking Taylor’s Creek. After the ceremony it was time to do what this crowd does best…party! The Party With The People band kept everyone dancing the entire night!

The Carolina Inn Wedding Photographer | Taylor + Corey Married

We are beyond ecstatic to be sharing Taylor and Corey’s wedding at The Carolina Inn! Aside from being two of the nicest individuals and such a sweet couple, they won our hearts completely by having a morning wedding with a brunch reception! We loved this idea, mainly because we love brunch more than pretty much any thing else.

Although the morning started super early for hair and makeup for Taylor and the bridesmaids, they all looked absolutely stunning (and the guys cleaned up pretty well too!). By late morning Taylor and Corey were saying their vows and then after some photos it was time for brunch!

We have nothing but amazing things to say about these two. They really are so sweet and down to earth. Taylor is never not smiling and you can tell just by how Corey looks at her that he loves her so, so much!

Congratulations Taylor and Corey, we are so excited for you two!

Colleen and Chase got married (yayyy!) last weekend which means the first order of business is sharing Colleen’s bridal portraits! Colleen was such a classically beautiful bride, her choice of dress and veil, along with her hairstyle fit perfectly with stone archways and wooden door at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Kinston. Colleen and Chase are our last NC wedding of the year and we couldn’t think of a better couple to conclude the 2020 wedding season with!

Eastern NC Wedding Photographer | Colleen + Chase Engaged

Colleen and Chase are getting married today! But first, let’s talk about their engagement session. Aside from it being the actual hottest day of the year, it was the BEST time. Of course, partially because their dog, Finley. Partially because I was expecting Chase to not really be into taking photos (from experience, farmers don’t generally like getting photos taken), and he outlasted both me and Colleen, thinking of spots (mainly the tallest tobacco plants) and ideas for photos. We did their engagement session at their precious farm house and around the farm, visiting the cows along the way.

Colleen and Chase I am so excited for you guys and cannot wait to celebrate with you today! Congrats!

New Bern, NC Wedding Photographer | Mary Bec Bridals

On Saturday Mary Bec and Eric got married which means we can now share Mary Bec’s bridal portraits! Downtown New Bern’s Mumfest has never looked better with a gorgeous bride walking around! We photographed some of her portraits at The Jarvis at 220, a gorgeous Bed and Breakfast in downtown New Bern with a killer porch. I’m a sucker for a good southern porch for bridal portraits! As we ventured out to find other spots for portraits we quickly became aware that set up for Mumfest was happening and by the time we were done it was a full on fest!

It’s wedding day for Mary Bec and Eric! As we’re prepping for their day, thinking back on their engagement session it seems like it was so long ago in the year that is 2020 but really it was just 6 months ago on a warm spring day in April. As soon as Mary Bec and Eric mentioned the idea of using their boat for their engagement session I was all in. Let’s do this. I shoot in Washington a lot, but rarely can you get the view of the downtown waterfront from the perspective of the water which is in my opinion the prettiest way to see it!

These two are so down to earth and in love with each other these are just a small peek into how amazing their wedding day is going to be! Congratulations Mary Bec and Eric!

Our girl is married! Liz and Taylor got married at May Lew Farm last weekend which means we can share her bridal portraits! We spent an afternoon in early October at May Lew Farm in Farmville, shooting her bridal portraits. We even snuck in a few photos with Liz’s dog, sweet Lexi, who was adorned with a flower collar that lasted around her neck for about as long as you would expect.
