Happy Wednesday! We are so excited to share tonight’s blog with you all as it is extra special and one that is near and dear to our hearts! You should first know the back story of how we met this beautiful, talented, sweet, loving and caring bride- Bree. If you have been a long time follower of our work, you might remember her face from being a bridesmaids in a few MP weddings dating back to as early as 2014. Since then, we have worked together on many design and calligraphy projects as she is the talent behind Bree Moore Design! You can see more of her amazing work here. Fast forward to last April at Mandi & Michael’s DeBordieu wedding, again Bree was a bridesmaid but this time she had a date- Scott. I instantly knew from the time I met him, he was her person. Just the way they complimented each other seemed so perfect and effortless. Not to mention Scott didn’t even blink when Bree and I were planning her “Christmas wedding” to him at the end of the night after everyone had left. haha! Little did we both know it’s because he had a huge surprise proposal in store for July 4th.
When Bree & Scott met with us about photographing their day I knew it would be unique & special in so many ways. Knowing her keen eye for design I knew she would come up with something completely out of the box for her own wedding. She also incorporated many sentimental family ties as well. From the black and white monochromatic color scheme with pop color to her custom leather jacket we are obsessed with how everything from this day came together! The reception was full of swoon worthy details! RSG Event Design created the most gorgeous floating floral installation for their head table as well as bright joyful centerpieces. The talented bride herself even created a 15 foot hand lettered photo backdrop of all love songs for guest to take photos in front of! How awesome is that!? A few other unforgettable moments included the dances. First up, Bree & her dad’s traditional first dance turned fun! You must see the video of that here! As if that wasn’t enough, the bride and groom later surprised all of their guests with a killer performance themselves! I mean, who knew Scott had it in him?! haha! It was so awesome! After cutting the cake (which was cheetah print on the inside- LOVE this detail) and dancing the night away with guest Bree & Scott left the reception New Orleans style in a second line parade in honor of her grandfather. It truly was the best ending to the most perfect day. Congrats to the Egglestons! We love you both and are so honored to have been a part of your day! <3
